Yesterday at just after 4.30pm there was a power outage in Walkwood’s locality. (I was just beginning a virtual meeting with governors!) Power returned after a couple of minutes. I telephoned the IT helpdesk as internet was still down, and they were very helpful in relaying to me the status of service. Additionally, the set-up work that the Lourdes IT team had done on the servers meant that rebooting began upon the resumption of power, re-establishing service within a few minutes. We are now aware of the timescale involved if there is such an outage, and I wish to express my thanks to your team member for her patience, as well as for the team’s previous work on building the server protocols that allowed prompt recommencement of service.
