What is it like to work for us?
We really appreciate that our staff are the core of our business.
There is no other place like Lourdes IT in education to work.
That is partly down to our ethos, but also down to the fact that there are so many of working together. Meaning if you need support it is there.
We also actively promote from within. When you are ready (and we will help you get there) we are growing and able to offer you progression opportunities.
We offer half termly internal training, we allow visits to vendor and supplier events, to BETT, time out to learn and apprenticeships
- 25 days holiday (some roles allow you to take this in term time) rising to 30 days after 5 years – plus bank holidays.
- Fantastic working environment
- Ongoing training and professional development
- Local Government Pension Scheme
We believe in being:
In life it is nice to be nice. And, when you are stressed because technology isn’t working, there is nothing more important then a friendly face to assist.
Understanding an issue, and how to work around it is a key skill, and going out of your way to provide additional support really impacts our users, we want to be approachable and to be told issues, so we can sort them out.
We want to resolve issues before they occur, if we can do this – we can change the way IT is used in schools to being more about engaging with the staff and tools, then being frustrated when things are not working. This means moving technology forward to ensure we are always at the cutting edge.
Ethos for our staff
If you are happy, and enjoying your job – you will be performing well. If we are flexible and supportive of you, we believe you will be back.
If your hard work has helped us grow, you should grow with us.
We are proud to use some of the most advanced technology to provide our networks and our support.
Being independent, and a fairly small team, we can quickly adapt to new technology.
Helpdesk – FreshDesk
We use the powerful FreshDesk software to deliver the best support possible.
All our schools use Office365, and we engage in training and support to ensure staff and pupils get the most from it.
Our schools use Hyper V, and in many cases Hyper V Failover clusters to ensure they are robust and reliable.
- Veeam for backups
- PaperCut for print management
- A wide range of Wireless Networks
- HP and Netgear switches

It is growing, we support primarily in Redditch and Bromsgrove, but we now have schools in Droitwich and Hanley.
Do you pay my mileage?
Yes, in certain situations we cover mileage.
