The Microsoft Innovative Educator scheme is designed to help engage teachers with the Office365 ecosystem, showing how tools can make an impact in the classroom.

During a recent training day in the Easter holidays, the Lourdes IT team completed their training to become Certified MIEs. Although not teachers by trade, as a team we believe it is essential that we understand the work of those we support, and how the tools we provide can be best utilised.

To complete the training required for the badge, the team worked through over 2 hours of training, and are able to continue this development throughout the year on their own, and hopefully join IT Service Lead Matthew Setchell as Microsoft Innovative Education Experts – a group picked by Microsoft as leaders in supporting education to use Office365 and other Microsoft technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
